Apprentice of the Month – March 2022

Our Apprentice of the Month Award is an opportunity for the spotlight to shine on one of our current apprentices who has worked hard, accomplished, applied themselves or has achieved something fantastic whilst on programme. This is an opportunity to celebrate apprenticeships and their value, not only for the learner but also for the employer and the business they work within. In order to be awarded Apprentice of the Month, learners can be nominated by their TDM coach, other TDM members of staff who have come into contact with the apprentice and also from their mentor, employer or colleagues they work along side.

Apprentice of the Month – March

Our Apprentice of the Month Award for March goes to Charlotte Hill from Certainly Wood. Charlotte is currently on her Digital Marketing Level 3 Apprenticeship. Charlotte's nomination came through her Apprenticeship Coaches, Mel and Robin, who both wanted to celebrate and reward Charlotte's fantastic attitude and perseverance with her goal to become a Digital Marketing Apprentice.

Charlotte started on our Get Ahead in Digital Transformation Bootcamp and completed the course achieving her personal learning goals alongside her coach and the course leaders.  Charlotte was very focussed on winning an apprenticeship position in Hereford and was extremely driven and proactive in searching out positions, tailoring her CV, creating pitches and presentations for interview. She worked closely with TDM representatives, Jake Pinnell and Melanie Eastwood, and both were so impressed with how she applied herself and how focussed she was on her career goals.  Persevering through a few applications after being narrowly outpaced by more experienced marketers in the last stages of the interview process, Charlotte had a brilliant attitude and perseverance with her goals and recently won an apprenticeship position at Certainly Wood under the brilliant mentorship of Sandra Taylor. Since beating off the competition for the post, Charlotte is now developing and growing her digital marketing skills and becoming a key player for the business. She identifies her skills gaps and makes a plan with her mentor to fill them so she can be as effective as possible on the job. She has also proved to be a brilliant communicator with clients and brings fresh ideas and creativity to the role. On the apprenticeship side of things she goes over and above with the objectives set and has consistently impressed her coaches Robin Williams and Melanie Eastwood who have both put her forward for recognition as Apprentice of The Month.

Congratulations Charlotte!
