The incentive is part of the Governments Plan for Jobs, launched during the COVID-19 pandemic. The payment is for employers who hire a new apprentice between April 1st and 20th September 2021. The apprentice could be an existing employee who is moving onto an apprenticeship, or a new recruit.
You can also place a kickstart team member onto an apprenticeship once their kickstart scheme has finished.
Employers can apply for a payment of £3,000 for new apprentices of any age who have an employment start date of 1st April 2021 to 30th September 2021.
They must have an apprenticeship start date of 1st April 2021 to 30th September 2021.
To receive the payment, you must submit an application for each eligible apprentice using your apprenticeship service account.
You will need to add the apprentices to your apprenticeship service account first.
Applications close on 30th November 2021.

Our Apprentice of the Month Award for September goes to Lydia Pullar from Creative Field who is currently on her Level 3 Digital Marketer Apprenticeship.
Lydia's nomination came from her Apprenticeship Coach, Mel who wanted to celebrate her work as:
“She has only been in her placement for a few months but is already working towards direct client work and her impact on the business is already showing!”
